Listen or watch on your favorite platforms
This isn’t about luck.
This is how reality actually works when you’re living from alignment.
In this video, I share the true story of how I ended up in conversation with Jordan Peterson — not by chasing, pitching, or planning, but by tuning in to the frequency of what felt right. What followed was not coincidence. It was coherence.
You’ll hear excerpts from our conversation during a one-day event we co-created in Amsterdam — as well as a deeper teaching on how synchronicity works not as magic, but as a mirror of your inner state.
This isn’t just a story. It’s a reflection on how life responds when you stop pushing… and start listening to the deeper Yes.

The eternal redeemer was the person who paid attention and spoke the truth. Find the gold that the dragon hides and distribute it in the community. It’s like everyone knows that’s right. It’s to to know that is to be human cuz that’s the human story. Some meetings are planned, others seem to arrive on their own timing. This is a little story about synchronicity, about attention and intention. And what happens when you dare to follow the pool of what truly excites you, even if it doesn’t make sense at the
time? It started 8 years ago. A friend of mine told me to check out this psychology professor, Jordan Peterson. I didn’t. 6 months passed. I spoke to him again. He told me, “You really have to check out this Jordan Peterson guy.” I still didn’t. One year later, he tried for a final time. You have to check out Jordan Peterson. And now I finally did. I watched a long lecture on YouTube. It blew my mind. What stood out wasn’t just his intelligence, but how deeply he had worked through what he was saying.
There was a kind of inner structure, a position that I resonated with. I didn’t agree with everything that he said, and I still don’t, but something about the way he looked at the world made me stop and pay attention. I wasn’t the only one waking up to his message. By that time, Peterson already had over half a million followers on YouTube. The spectator had called him one of the greatest thinkers of our time and he was a returning guest on Joe Rogan, the biggest podcast in the world. Some months later, I co-organized
a leadership journey to Silicon Valley. As I was also one of the participants, I had to fill in an intake form. And one of the questions on that form was, “If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?” I did not have a list. But the answer that came instantly through was Jordan Peterson. And if I would have made a list back then in 2017, he would be way at the top above people like Elon Musk, Einstein, or even Buddha. Not because I agreed with everything that he said. Not because I saw him as a guru. Because
something about his presence, his clarity, his work felt undeniably aligned with where I was in my own journey. And writing down that name may have been way more important than I had realized in that moment. I take apart fairly frequently popular culture productions like Pinocchio or The Lion King or Harry Potter. It’s like the ideas are there. They’re everywhere. It’s the same idea everywhere. Confront the unknown courageously. Speak truth, right? Develop your character. Have enough integrity so that you can break
the rules when it’s necessary in the service of a higher good. Find the gold that the dragon hides and distribute it in the community. It’s like everyone knows that’s right. It’s to to know that is to be human because that’s the human story. Now, it might not be a story that works. You know, it’s not ever there are all sorts of other animals that don’t go boldly out into the unknown and forage and bring back new information. Most animals don’t do that. We’re the only one that does really in any in any real
sense. And maybe we’re an evolutionary dead end, but I don’t think so. I think that if we if we chose to abide by our deepest nature that we could get through anything anything. It’s a while later and I thought, well, maybe I should reach out to his agency and see if I can book him as a speaker for something. I was curious, but I had no expectations at all. And as I expected, his speaking fee was at the time more than my budget was. Then I hear myself ask, but hey, would he be open to coming on podcast? I
didn’t have any expectations of this and maybe I expected even it’s going to be a no. But 3 weeks later in my inbox, I found an email. Yes. So in 2017, Jordan and I met over Skype. The conversation flowed easily and we had a resonance and we agreed to take it one step further. We decided to co-organize a one-day event in the Netherlands for a group of leaders and entrepreneurs. In January 2018, I picked up Jordan and his wife from the airport. It was the day after his now famous interview with Gaty
Newman. His new book had just been released. Within days, it became the international number one on Amazon. Jordan Peterson was becoming a global name. And in the midst of all that, he came to Amsterdam for a day we had created together. No press, no noise, just a room of people willing to go deep. During the lunch break, we found a quiet moment and recorded a conversation. What you’ve seen so far and what you’re about to hear all comes from that conversation. Writing maps of meaning was really hard.
It took me right to the edge of my physiological tolerance. Um, I had to stop partly, it disciplined me. I mean, I had to stop doing all sorts of things I was doing in order to write. I had to quit smoking. I had to quit drinking. I had to start eating properly. I had to keep my room clean. I had to go to the gym and work out. I had to make sure that I kept my domestic duties in order and was doing well in my career. like I had to put myself completely straight so that I could tolerate the strain of
writing the book because I was writing it for I wrote for 3 hours a day for about 15 years and I was thinking about it all the time other than that and and also doing a tremendous amount of reading and all of that and so um I’d learned from Jung at that point because he he talked a fair bit about the alchemical transformation which I learned a lot about although it’s very difficult to explain but One of the things he said was if you were dealing with the primma materia, which is the the it’s it’s what matters outside of
what you understand. Because Jung kind of thought of the world as being made of what matters outside of what you understand. It’s something like potential, which is a nice way of thinking about it. If you’re going to deal with unvarnished potential, then you better be in shape because it’ll tear you apart if you’re not. Here is what I’ve come to see and understand. You don’t attract what you want. You attract what you are. Not on the surface, but in frequency, in energy, in what you expect, in what you believe, in
what you allow yourself to move forward. When I wrote Jordan Peterson’s name on that form, I wasn’t trying to make something happen. It was in a space of clarity, creativity, and authenticity. There was no force, no grasping. And because of that it matched. This is how reality works. You are consciousness. And within consciousness everything already exists. Every timeline, every possibility, every version of reality. But what you experience depends entirely on where you place your awareness. But
when you’re present, when your desire is rooted in alignment, when you follow what feels truly alive, life starts to respond. Not because you forced it, but because you allowed it. That day with Peterson wasn’t a reward. It wasn’t luck. It was a reflection of the frequency I was in. And it reminded me the more authentic your signal, the clearer the response. And my life is like I have a ridiculous life. I have way more opportunities than I can possibly make use of. Wherever I go, people come up and tell me how happy
they are because they’ve watched my videos because their life has changed in positive ways. I’m like, imagine you get to go wherever you want and all that happens is people come up and tell you how happy they are that they’d be listening to you. Jesus, it’s like it’s hard to imagine how anything could possibly be better than that. So, are you grateful for that that you can Oh, it’s overwhelming. It’s absolutely I just can’t It’s like an ongoing miracle. I can’t believe it. It’s crazy. So if you want your reality to shift,
don’t start with the world believes. Start with your attention and keep listening to the deeper yes. That’s how you begin to live as a conscious creator. And that’s what we do inside awake origins. The next chapter of your life doesn’t have to come from effort alone. It starts to feel meaningful and even fun when it flows from alignment.
